SHARDWORKS

The crystal factory of Cogsworth, Clockwork Foreman

Cogsworth the clockwork robot engineer

Build the line: mine raw crystal, run the belts, cut, polish, charm and crown it. Contracts pay in shards — jams cost you the clock. Every item is really simulated, tile by tile.

Contract 1

The Reference Line auto-builds Cogsworth's proven layout for the raw→shard chain (contract 1). On later contracts it builds the full chain — bring your own funds.

HOW THE WORKS RUN

The chain: Miner (on a crystal node) → Cutter makes Cut Shards → Polisher (+ Water from a Pump on the river) makes Polished Gems → Charmer (+ Gold Dust from a Miner on a gold node) makes Onyx Charms → Crown Press (charm + gem) makes Crystal Crowns. Send finished goods down a belt into a Delivery Dock.

Belts carry one item at a time and only move on the belt tick — a blocked belt jams and glows red. Splitters alternate items between straight and right-hand exits. Mergers pull from any side and push forward. Crafters only start when every ingredient is in their buffer, and a finished piece waits if its exit is blocked.

Click any machine to see its live throughput (items/min), buffer and jam state. Contracts are timed; leftover build funds pay a 50% bonus into your bank on completion.
